While task lists are slowly rolling in each month, I know I can and need to do a better job about getting the word out about the 33k Task List Project. At my current collection rate, I'll be about 107 before I hit my goal of 33,000. After the fact, I often hear how task lists are being thrown away instead of mailed to me. Gasp!
Behind the scenes, I've been trying understand how women organize their tasks, interact with their task management systems, and how it could impact my collection process. Recently, I asked my Facebook tribe for their input. The responses really got me thinking differently about some of my assumptions.
One particular response from Laurie at The Pilates Studio in Hadley left me stoked. As a business co-owner and a mom of two boys, Laurie has found this amazingly colorful, flexible, visual way to effectively stay on top of what she needs to get done. (Shown in the photo above.) Because for a system to work, it has to work for you. Even cooler, Laurie has pledged to donate her future spent task lists to the 33k Task List Project! Thank you, Laurie!
If you're a women with a handwritten task list that's just going to get recycled, please consider donating yours to the project. My current mailing address and some FAQs are just one click away.
