This 100th task list donation for the 33k Task List Project cracked me up. The timing couldn't be more perfect.
Behind the scenes here at vital corps, I’m about one month away from rolling out my first ever podcast (stay tuned!) and a somewhat hasty relocation back to NYC in about 2 weeks. Both of which have been pilfering some of my #33kTaskLists bandwidth.
From what I've heard lately, it's not just me with all of this transitional energy swirling around right now. For the limited outreach I have done lately, I've received a lot of nopes filled with frenetic energy. While it's a bummer, it just means two things:
- This project is needed. Women are seriously overwhelmed.
- If women are so overwhelmed by dropping a task list into an envelope instead of the recycle bin, I need to figure out how to make the process easier without sacrificing my devotion to handwritten originals.
Even though I’m not able to devote as much time as I’d like to this project for the next couple of weeks, I refuse to let it slip from a joyful project to a stressful project. I just try to take a baby step forward each day. For the next few weeks, it might be as simple as handing women a few upcycled, addressed envelopes or sharing what is arriving on social media. It's not leaps and bounds, but it is progress.
Note: Since the last update, 54 more task lists have arrived from 6 new states and more from the UK.
